Report: Kolb to Arizona

Of course you would. But what if that cornerback was considered soft?

With the NFL lockout set to end either Wednesday or Thursday, depending on whom you talk to, teams are going to have to act fast on trades. The Cardinals and Eagles have been linked since the NFL Draft, when reports surfaced that Kevin Kolb would be shipped to Arizona for either Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and/or draft picks. There was a brief thought that the Birds could net Cardinals first-round pick Patrick Peterson in return.

The latter probably won’t happen … but the rumors/reports are back.

The latest coming from Cardinals beat writer and radio host Mike Jurecki, who said Arizona is prepared to offer Rodgers-Cromartie “straight up” for Kolb. Citing Cardinals sources, Jurecki said the team has been pursuing the Eagles backup QB the entire offseason and will pay to get him.

The plot thickens … we’ll have more about Rodgers-Cromartie in tomorrow’s paper.
