Simple scoring for NASCAR

NASCAR fans aren’t going to have to do nearly as much math next season.

NASCAR fans aren’t going to have to do nearly as much math next season.

The racing league announced a new scoring system yesterday, greatly simplifying the one it’s been using since 1975.

Now, the winner of each 43-car Sprint Cup race will receive 43 points, down to one for the last-place driver. There are bonuses for wins and leading laps.
