Sorry pervs, women's volleyball players can ditch the bikinis now

The Olympics got a little less friendly to absolute skeezeballs.

The Olympics just got a little less friendly to absolute skeezeballs: The International Volleyball Federation has decided to let women's beach volleyball players wear shorts in place of the standard bikini bottoms.

As the BBC reports:

Bikinis have helped define the sport but the FIVB wants to respect the cultural beliefs of various countries.

"Many of these countries have religious and cultural requirements so the uniform needed to be more flexible." said FIVB spokesman Richard Baker.

The modified rule permits "shorts of a maximum length of (1.18 inches) above the knee, and sleeved or sleeveless tops."

The skimpy bottoms previously mandated by the IVP had drawn controversy in recent games, especially when placed in contrast to the sleeveless tops and baggy shorts of the men's uniform.

Now that the bikinis are gone, any guesses what sport becomes the favorite of the dirty old man demographic? We're hoping, for reasons of pure hilarity, that it turns out to be dressage.
