The Red Sox chased Braves starter Randall Delgado from the mound in the second inning and heaped eight runs total on Atlanta Saturday night in an 8-4 win at Fenway Park.

Doubles by Dustin Pedroia, Will Middlebrooks and Cody Ross did plenty of damage. Middlebrooks also homered.

Starter Franklin Morales continued his stellar play, working six innings and allowing just two earned runs on seven hits.

Youkilis trade update

Multiple outlets reported Saturday that Kevin Youkilis will be traded “sooner rather than later.”

The White Sox and Dodgers have been the two teams said to have had the most interest in the Sox third/first baseman.

Youkilis met with the media Saturday, saying “I haven’t been told anything. Until I’m told anything, I can’t really respond. I don’t know my situation. I never was told what’s going on here.”

Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine had previously hinted that he did meet with Youkilis to discuss the on-going trade rumors.
