Sox fall to 1-5 on the season

The Red Sox are hoping their first home stand of the 2012 season goes a tad better than their debut road trip.

Boston fell to 1-5 on the young season Wednesday afternoon as it dropped a 3-1 decision to the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre in Toronto.

Jon Lester and Ricky Romero were locked into a pitchers duel for much of the afternoon but Toronto’s two-run third inning proved to be enough.Rajai Davis’ triple sparked the two run inning for Toronto.

The Red Sox lone run also came in the third as Jacoby Ellsbury plated Mike Aviles with a single.
