Free agent shortstop Stephen Drew has re-signed with the Red Sox, according to multiple reports.
Drew and his agent Scott Boras had been holding out for months in search of a better deal. According to FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal, Drew's new deal with Boston is worth $10 million ($14 million pro-rated) and he is exempt from a qualifying offer at the end of the season because he is signing mid-season.
Drew will reportedly be at Fenway Park Tuesday night when the Red Sox host the Blue Jays (7 p.m., NESN).
The 31-year-old hit .253 during Boston's run to the World Series in 2013, bashing 13 homers and driving in 67 runs.
