The CW upfront: Girl power!

The CW presented its 2011-12 lineup to advertisers at its upfront presentation today, sticking with female-focused programming for the new season.

The network’s biggest pickup is Sarah Michelle Gellar’s return to television in “Ringer,” a thriller about a woman on the run who assumes her twin sister’s identity. Rachel Bilson also heads back to the small screen with the Southern-set medical drama “Hart of Dixie,” which comes from the creators of “Gossip Girl.”

Rounding out the new drama slate is supernatural thriller “The Secret Circle,” about a coven of witches, which will be paired with the network’s highest-rated hit, “The Vampire Diaries.” “Gossip Girl,” “90210,” “Nikita” and “Supernatural” round out the returning CW dramas.

On the reality side, “America’s Next Top Model” returns with an “all-star” edition. The model competition will be paired with the new unscripted series “H8R,” in which celebrities try to win over their civilian “haters.”
