The Bruins and Capitals were knotted at three in the third period in Washington Tuesday night when the Caps' Mathieu Perreault broke the tie and earned his first career hat trick in powering Washington to a 5-3 win over Boston.
Rich Peverley, Tyler Seguin and Brad Marchand each scored for the Bruins.
Tuukka Rask took the loss in net.

Baltimore kicking consultant Randy Brown was asked on WIP sports radio in Philadelphia if the Patriots may have flashed the wrong information on the Gillette Stadium scoreboard with under a minute remaining as kicker Billy Cundiff warmed up for his potentially game-tying field goal.
His response was, "I don't think you can rule anything out in New England, can you?"
