The Celtics beat Charlotte, 94-84, at TD Garden Tuesday night with the evening certainly belonging to Paul Pierce.
The Boston captain moved past Larry Bird, placing him second on the Celtics franchise scoring list.
Pierce, who scored his first career points in February of 1999 following that season’s lockout, finished with 15 points, eight rebounds and nine assists.
Kevin Garnett continued his solid play with 22 points on the night.
Rajon Rondo had 14 assists.
The Celtics are back in action Thursday night when they face the Lakers at TD Garden (8 p.m., TNT).
