The NFL lockout is half over

NFL owners have voted to ratify a new agreement with the players.

The NFL lockout is, in a sense, half over.

Owners voted tonight to ratify an agreement with the NFLPA. If the players vote to accept the deal on their scheduled 8 p.m. conference call, we've got ourselves a football season.

The owners' vote passed 31-0. The Oakland Raiders abstained, as they'll do.

Team training facilities should be open Saturday.

Looks like training camps will open around Aug. 1. The Hall of Fame Game is canceled.
