Tiger getting life in order

Tiger Woods told ESPN Radio’s “Mike & Mike in the Morning” on Thursday that he is an “infinitely” happier person now than he was at this time last year. Here are some highlights:

On breaking Jack Nicklaus’ record of 18 major titles:
I still have the same drive to get better, no doubt. That’s an each-and-every-day process. But I can’t get better as a player, if I don’t get better as a person.

On why his golf game has been so inconsistent:
I wasn’t happy with who I was. I was doing things morally, inside, I knew I shouldn’t be doing.

On what he’ll tell his children when they’re old enough:
The truth … I will have to earn the trust and respect of my kids over time.

On what he has learned through the experience:
I wasn’t the person my mom and dad raised me to be and I knew that. I was leaving that life behind.
