Tiger Woods wins first tourney in two years

It took two years — and a broken marriage, fired caddy and new swing coach — but Tiger Woods finally won another tournament.

It took two years — and a broken marriage, fired caddy and new swing coach — but Tiger Woods finally won another tournament.

Woods trailed leader Zach Johnson by one stroke with two holes to play at the Chevron World Chalenge, but used some old Tiger magic to earn the victory.

He birdied the final two holes, including a six-footer on No. 18 to clinch the trophy. He shot 3-under on the day and 10-under for the tournament. He won $1.2 million for the victory, which he donated to his charity.

Woods hadn’t won a tournament since Nov. 15, 2009 at the Australian Masters. In the meantime he went through a much-publicized cheating scandal and divorce with his wife Elin, fired longtime caddy Steve Williams and dumped swing coach Hank Haney.
