“The Voice”

REALITY. First came the battle rounds. Now the coaches pit two of their own team members against each other as the knockout rounds begin. The last singers standing sure are going to be black and blue by season’s end.

8 p.m., NBC

“Revolution”

DRAMA. Tonight’s episode is titled “Sex and Drugs,” two things, apparently, that are blackout-proof. Which, of course, is good to know with Hurricane Sandy approaching.

10:01 p.m., NBC

DRAMA. Totally unrelated to potential s’noreastercanes, the second episode of this three-part series follows a corrupt city councilman (Christopher Eccleston) who becomes a hero — never mind the night he blacked out and may have beaten a man to death in an alcohol-fueled rage.

8 p.m., Ovation
