TV picks: Monday, Sept. 10

Tonight's TV highlights: "The Voice" — and those chairs — returns.

"The Voice"

REALITY. Coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green better grease up those spinning chairs and exercise those button-hitting fingers, because a new round of wannabe singing stars is ready to wow them during the first round of blind auditions tonight.

Season premiere, 8 p.m., NBC

"The Crimson Petal and the White"

DRAMA. In Victorian London, strong-willed prostitute Sugar (Romola Garai) is drawn into the life of wealthy businessman William Rackham (Chris O'Dowd), who seeks her companionship as his wife falls into madness. This four-part miniseries is adapted from Michel Faber's 2002 novel of the same name.

Miniseries premiere, 8 p.m., Encore

"MasterChef"

REALITY. The finale comes down to a three-course meal prepared by the remaining two contestants: fan favorite Christine Ha, who has proved her blindness is anything but a handicap, and Josh Marks, who had been eliminated, but since has cooked his way back to the top of the show.

Season finale, 9 p.m., Fox
