“Saving Hope”

DRAMA. A doctor (Michael Shanks) gets into a car accident on the way to his wedding, so his spirit winds up haunting — sorry, watching over — his fiancée and fellow doctor (Erica Durance), along with the other staffers at the hospital where he used to work/is currently in a coma.

Series premiere, 9 p.m., NBC

“The Choice”

REALITY. Pauly D and celebrities of his ilk sit on mechanized chairs stolen from “The Voice” and pull “love handles” to spin around and see potential dates if they like the lines ladies are pitching while the guys’ backs are turned.

Series premiere, 9 p.m., Fox

“Take Me Out”

REALITY. Fox is high on dating hi-jinks this summer, serving up this new matchmaking contest as well. George Lopez leads this circus; 30 women size up potential suitors until the dating pool is whittled down and the man is given final say in who wins a date with him.

Series premiere, 8 p.m., Fox

“Yo: The Story of Yo! MTV Raps”

DOCUMENTARY. The influential hip-hop show gets a look-back with tributes by original hosts Fab 5 Freddy, Ed Lover and Doctor Dre and a ton of artists who graced the stage — or just remember Tupac’s on-air freakout when talking about his firing from “Menace II Society” in ’93.

10 p.m., VH1
