“Savage U”

REALITY. Sex-advice columnist Dan Savage — the man who both founded the anti-bullying It Gets Better Project and infamously feuded with Rick Santorum to the point where Google recognizes an alternative definition for the presidential candidate’s last name as a search result — launches a series in which he travels around the country visiting college campuses to talk candidly about sex, dating and relationships.

Series premiere, 11 p.m., MTV

“Giuliana & Bill”

REALITY. Reality TV shows following the lives of celebrities aren’t always about catfights and red carpets, as this season documenting “E! News” host Giuliana Rancic’s diagnosis with breast cancer and the challenges she and hubby Bill (winner of “The Apprentice” Season 1) faced during her battle with the disease can attest.

Season premiere, 8 p.m., Style

“The Biggest Loser”

REALITY. First Lady Michelle Obama invites the contestants to the White House, where the final stretch pep talk is surely more “benefits of a backyard vegetable garden” than “most incredible state dinner menus.”

8 p.m., NBC

“Justified”

DRAMA. We’re just about over this creep Quarles, who becomes even more erratic tonight. Raylan, can you please wrap things up with that whole Detroit mess and get back to smacking some sense into the local yokels?

10 p.m., FX
