“Top Chef: Seattle”
REALITY. For Season 10, “Top Chef” kicks off by going back to basics — and those cheftestants who can’t cut it with simple skills will be packing their knives early. Upping the “better bring it” factor for the competitors: Celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck joins the judges table this season.
Season premiere, 10 p.m., Bravo
“Modern Family”
COMEDY. Bad idea: Jay’s ex-wife (guest star Shelley Long) dropping in for a visit. Worse idea: Jay trying to hide his hot new wife’s pregnancy from his ex-wife.
9 p.m., ABC
“Arrow”
DRAMA. To learn how Oliver received his first scar, we get a flashback to the island and an encounter with the assassin Deathstroke. Sheesh. If there’s a flashback to explain every single scar on this guy, this series is never going to move forward.
8 p.m., The CW
