“Damages”

DRAMA. Patty Hewes and former protégée Ellen Parsons face off one last time, wrapping up the Wikileaks-like case that has been central to the show’s fifth and final season. If they don’t pummel each other in court, they always might take the battle out into the street. But don’t worry — there’s a flash-forward to see which main characters have survived each other’s win-at-all-cost ways.

Series finale, 9 p.m., DirecTV

“Great Performances at the Met”

ARTS. The second opera in Richard Wagner’s Ring Cycle, “Die Walkure,” features that epic soundtrack to the ushering of fallen warriors to Valhalla: “The Ride of the Valkyries.” “Great Performances” is airing the Metropolitan Opera’s performances of all four Ring Cycle operas, this week, continuing with “Siegfried” tomorrow at 9 p.m. and “Gotterdammerung” on Friday at 9 p.m.

9 p.m., PBS

“Guys with Kids”

COMEDY. Thirtysomething dads try to hold onto some semblance of cool while raising their kids in New York City. Creator Jimmy Fallon wisely decided “DILF” would not be a good title for this new sitcom.

Sneak preview, 10 p.m., NBC

REALITY. Nine parole officers in Indianapolis, Ind. open their case files to cameras to document the raw, emotional stories of parolees trying to make the best of their second chance.
