TV picks: Weekend, April 20-22

“Patton Oswalt: Finest Hour”/”Paul F. Tompkins: Laboring Under Delusions”

COMEDY. It’s a snarky geek-out double feature when two comedians at the top of their game each offer a standup special. Patton Oswalt (10 p.m.) continues to wax poetic about fatherhood and the requisite more nerdy fare (Jesus auditioning for the X-Men), while Paul F. Tompkins shares stories of working for a living — both onstage and off.

Saturday, 10 and 11 p.m., Comedy Central

“The Real Housewives of New Jersey”

REALITY. Bravo tells us Season 4 of this ladies-behaving-badly staple features “a shocking ultimatum” — as if anything these ladies do is shocking anymore.

Sunday, Season premiere, 10 p.m., Bravo

“Fox’s 25th Anniversary Special”

SPECIAL. Fox looks backs on the highs (“The Simpsons”) and the lows (“The Swan”) of the last 25 years in broadcast. But mostly the highs.

Sunday, 8 p.m., Fox

“Veep”

COMEDY. Julia Louis-Dreyfus stars as the vice president of the United States in this sharp political satire from Armando Iannucci (“In the Loop”), who skewers our “perfect” politicians by showing them behaving badly — very badly — behind-the-scenes.

Series premiere, Sunday, 10 p.m., HBO
