“Luck”

DRAMA. What was initially meant to be the first season finale — and a thrilling one at that, involving a climatic race — has become the series conclusion of this fine David Milch/Michael Mann horseracing drama. The inner workings of the racetrack were on full view in this series; it’s sad that production was halted and ultimately cancelled following the death of a number of horses during the filming of what would have been Season 2.

Series finale, Sunday, 9 p.m., HBO

“Ball Boys”

REALITY. Like “Pawn Stars” before it, this reality show from that hit series’ producers aims to draw interest in other people’s “junk” — but this time, the wares for sale are sports memorabilia.

Series premiere, Saturday, 3 p.m., ABC

“Leave it to Niecy”

REALITY. Is it a reality show? A documentary? A sitcom? “Leave it to Niecy,” following the antics of Niecy Nash and her family, claims to be a little of all those things. Unfortunately, the situations are so contrived, it fails at them all.

Series premiere, Sunday, 10 p.m., TLC

“Mythbusters”

REALITY. Adam and Jamie are “abandoned” on a deserted island with only duct tape to aid in their survival.

Mid-season premiere, Sunday, 9 p.m., Discovery
