‘Once Upon A Time'

DRAMA. Fairy tales are real — Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and co., living in a small New England town, just don’t realize they’re the enchanted characters of our bedtime stories. Now it’s up to bail bondswoman Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) to break the curse that’s keeping them in limbo — aka the real world.

Series premiere, Sunday, 8 p.m., ABC

‘American Masters’

MOVIE. In “Pearl Jam Twenty,” the two decades of the band’s influential existence are recalled through the grunge rockers’ own stories and the lens of director Cameron Crowe.

Friday, 9 p.m., PBS

‘X-Men’

ANIMATED. There’s reason this anime incarnation of the X-Men team is airing at 11 p.m. It’s more akin to Adult Swim than Saturday morning cartoons, telling more gritty tales of mutant crime-fighting than we’ve seen on TV before. Example: “Lady, the problem isn’t in my pants,” Wolverine snarls before unleashing those claws.

Series premiere, Friday, 11 p.m., G4

‘Supernatural’

DRAMA. Be still, our geeky hearts — “Buffy” alums James Marsters and Charisma Carpenter guest star as a couple with issues (her being a witch has something to do with it).

Friday, 9 p.m., The CW
