Tyler Seguin, Rich Peverley take down Bruins in shootout

Tyler Seguin was booed heavily in the pregame of Tuesday night's game, his first back in Boston, but the Dallas Stars forward gave the negative energy right back to the Black and Gold crowd at night's end, scoring a shootout goal that helped the Stars beat the B's, 3-2, at TD Garden.

Former Bruin Rich Peverley also played a big factor in the Stars win, netting the winning shootout goal against Tuukka Rask.

Dallas nearly didn't make it to the extra session but Dennis Seidenberg tripped Vernon Fiddler with 2:34 left in the third period to set up a penalty shot, which Fiddler drilled. Boston had taken a 2-1 lead earlier in the third when Milan Lucic re-directed a Dougie Hamilton shot.

What they'll be saying: The focus was obviously on Seguin on this one, and the focus will be on Tim Thomas Thursday night when he returns to Boston. But the B's obviously have their own issues they need to deal with. This was the fourth time in five games that Boston has lost.
