An unbeaten Connecticut men’s team is coming closer and closer to the university’s truly unbelievable women’s program.
The Huskies men moved to No. 6 in this week’s ESPN/USA Today poll. They were unranked just a few weeks ago.
Duke retained the No. 1 ranking, again earning all 31 first-place votes.
Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Kansas and Kansas State round out the top five.
Villanova checked in at No. 12, but received a blow yesterday. Freshman forward JayVaughn Pinkston was suspended for the season after being charged with two counts of simple assault and harassment stemming from a fight.
The UConn women, meanwhile, got all 40 first-place votes in their poll. Baylor came in second and Stanford is No. 3.
