Updated: Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson can have no contact with Evelyn Lozada after allegedly headbutting her

Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson sat in front of a Florida judge early Sunday morning and had his bond set at $2,500 after allegedly headbutting his wife, reality TV star Evelyn Lozada Saturday night.

Johnson was also ordered to have no contact with Lozada by the judge.

The incident reportedly began when Lozada found a receipt for condoms in Johnson’s car. Lozada had a “pretty good-sized laceration on her forehead,” said Davie, Fla. Police Capt. Dale Engle.

Johnson recently changed his name back to Johnson after previously going by “Chad Ochocinco.” Johnson had a career-worst season last year with the Patriots, catching only 15 balls.

The wide receiver has been much more active at press conferences and on Twitter since his time with the Patriots came to an end.

Here was Johnson last week on HBO’s Hard Knocks:

Lozada is a star on the show “Basketball Wives” and was previously married to former Celtics star Antoine Walker.

Dolphins release Johnson

The Miami Dolphins released Chad Johnson Sunday night, according to FOX Sports, after he was arrested Saturday.

Johnson was lectured by new Miami head coach Joe Philbin on HBO cameras in the first “Hard Knocks” episode of the season regarding his language at a press conference.

In the press conference, Johnson said he would consider porn as a post-NFL career and that he regarded Patriots head coach Bill Belichick one of the greatest coaches of all-time.
