Venus and Serena Williams are set to face off against each other Friday at the 2018 U.S. Open and its one of the most highly-anticipated matches of the tournament. The match is scheduled to take place Friday evening during in the third round of the 2018 U.S. Open at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing, Queens.

The Williams sisters will continue their 20-year sibling rivalry today and just about everyone will be tuned in.  Serena Williams is seeded at 17, while her older sister, Venus Williams is seeded at 16.  The two will compete against each other in the third round of the 2018 U.S.

How many time have Venus and Serena Williams played against each other?

Friday’s match will be the 30th time Venus and Serena Williams have gone head to head against each other. The last time they competed against each other was during the finals at the 2017 Australian Open. Serena won in two sets. Prior the Australian Open, the two met in the quarterfinals of the 2015 U.S. Open and Serena defeated her older sister in three sets.

Friday’s match will be the 16th time Venus and Serena Williams have played each other at Grand Slams. The two played their first tournament against each other during the second round of the 1998 Australia Open in Melbourne. Venus defeated Serena in straight sets 7-6 (4), 6-1.

On Wednesday, the Today show released a 1991 video profile on Venus and Serena Williams. The sisters share how they first fell in love with tennis and archive video footage shows them training and practicing together.
