“Tough Love” host Steve Ward quotes Oscar Wilde and Jeremy Piven in the same breath. We catch up with the matchmaker and star of VH1’s wildly popular dating show to discuss matters of the heart.
There seems to be more catfights this season — Are you afraid that the show will become “Rock of Love” trashy?
I hope not! To be perfectly honest, my mom and I were really reluctant to invite Taylor [a sensational character from last season] back into boot camp. But the producers presented it to us as a challenge.
What’s a turnoff for guys?
I think for men in general, it’s negativity. I try to remind women that if men hear you being negative or complaining, they are going to lose interest, they are going to equivocate that it’s a lot of work to be with you.
