Watch live: OJ Simpson parole hearing (TV, start time)

OJ Simpson, Parole, Hearing, TV, Start, Time

Last year, O.J. Simpson murder trial nostalgia (as sickening as that is to say) reached a high point in America. There was that unintentionally funny FX OJ show with an exceptionally strange John Travolta and Ross from Friends, and ESPN had that 73-part 30 for 30 on OJ and race relations.

Believe it or not, OJ could – in real life – be playing golf in Southern California again by Thanksgiving. His parole hearing is on Thursday and ESPN will broadcast it live starting at 1 p.m. Eastern Standard Time with a special Outside the Lines.

Of course, Vegas has betting lines open on whether or not OJ will be paroled or not (he is in jail for a 2007 armed robbery case). The current Bovada odds actually favor OJ, as he is -300 to be released in October.

You can stream the parole hearing live here.

OJ is currently serving a 9-33 year sentence at the Lovelock Correctional Center in Nevada.

The former NFL great reportedly almost didn’t get a chance for parole because he ate a stolen cookie in front of a correcitonal guard early in his sentence. Apparently another inmate had stolen cookies and was passing them out to other prisoners. The majority of prisoners returned to their cells to eat the stolen cookies, but OJ scarfed his down in plain view.
