Pretend you're Doc Rivers.

Your team just crashed out of the NBA playoffs, and the future is uncertain. Yes, Kevin Garnett, Rajon Rondo, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen are all under contract for next season. But there's speculation KG will retire if there's a lockout, and Pierce and Allen are almost as ancient. Rondo's a stud, but so was Allen Iverson -- it's tough for a little guy who drives the lane with reckless abandon to stay healthy.

What do you do?

Do you come back?

Is there a point? The Heat and Bulls are clearly superior in the Eastern Conference, and the Hawks are right there, too. The Knicks are improving. And the top half of the West is absolutely brutal.

He says he's "probably" coming back.

Would you?
