Yankees make offer to SP Lee

The Yankees’ pursuit of Cliff Lee has come down to its endgame.

New York made an offer to the free-agent ace yesterday. Now, GM Brian Cashman said, the decision is in the hands of Lee, his agent and his wife.

“I know we are right on the player,” Cashman said. “If he picks us, I hope he is right on us.”
