Police are searching for an armed robber on Staten Island after he allegedly shot two victims when they refused to hand over their money.

The suspect approached a female victim, 28, about 4:30 a.m. on June 17 in the vicinity of Castleton and Port Richmond avenues, police said. When the woman did not give him any money, the suspect shot her in the face.

The robber struck again on the morning of June 24 when he approached a male victim, 18, in front of 63 Harrison Ave. and demanded money. The victim refused and the suspect shot him in the right hand, police said.

Both victims were taken to area hospitals in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
