Still no ‘Friends’ reunion? Blame David Schwimmer.

Courteney Cox has some simple advice to anyone still asking about a potential “Friends” reunion: “Let it go,” she says during a recent Q&A session with Yahoo. “We’re not doing it. It’s just not going to happen. We’ve gotten about 80 percent there, but there’s always one person who flakes at the end.” When pressed about who might be the most notorious no-show of the six cast-members, Cox says, “I’m not going to name names, but it may not be [David] Schwimmer.” So it totally is David Schwimmer. Got it.

But while we can’t get the septet back together, even after more than a decade off the air, how about some screen time for Cox’s character, Monica, all by her lonesome? It’s a silly idea that the “Cougar Town” star can get behind. “Monica is going to do a movie. It’s going to be called ‘Hanging with Monica,'” Cox jokes. “People will be running to the theater.” Hey, it’s no dumber an idea than “Joey.”
