A Strathmore man has been arrested by RCMP after allegedly throwing a number of Molotov cocktails through the window of a residence in the town.

According to Strathmore RCMP, witnesses said the 32-year-old male threw the firebombs and also smashed out windows and threatened to kill the occupants.

Police said the man had threatened the residents of the home earlier and said he would come back with a bomb and kill everyone.

Five people were in the house at the time of the alleged attack, police said.

Strathmore RCMP located the suspect with the aid of witnesses.

The accused is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court in Calgary tomorrow at 9 a.m.
