City Council moved to rename two Brooklyn streets in honor of Officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu on Thursday.

Ramos and Liu were shot on Dec. 20 while sitting in their patrol car in Bed-Stuy. The shooter,Ismaaiyl Brinsley, killed himself shortly after in a nearby subway station.

Their deaths caused a rift between City Hall and the police unions, with Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association President Pat Lynch saying Mayor Bill de Blasio had blood on his hands. Numerous officers turned their backs on de Blasio during Ramos and Liu’s funerals.
