An early morning shooting in Lynn left one man dead as at least one shooter remained at large.
Shortly before 6 a.m. on Monday, police arrived near the corner of Chestnut and Mason streets where they found a man injured from a gunshot wound, WCVB reported. RELATED:Teen arrested for fatal Chelsea shooting The victim later died at Lynn Union Hospital, WCVB added.
“At this time, it does not appear to be a random act,” Essex District Attorney Spokeswoman Carrie Kimball-Monahan said to CBS Boston. The man, whose identity has not been made public, was said to be in his 20s, CBS Boston reported, adding that he was shot on Chestnut Street before running into the road and collapsing near an MBTA bus.
