Suspect sought in bank theft may be stained with red dye

Ottawa police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man after a west-end bank was robbed Tuesday.

At 5:15 p.m., a lone male entered a TD Canada Trust branch in the 1400 block of Richmond Road. The suspect passed a note making a demand for cash. A small amount of cash, along with a dye pack was taken.

There were no injuries.

Police are seeking a white male, five feet, 11 inches tall, between 40 and 50 years of age with salt and pepper hair, grey stubble and a medium build. He may have had a small bandage on the right side of his face and may be stained with red ink from the dye pack.
