Suspects wanted in brutal break-in

Police are on a manhunt after a vicious home invasion in Mill Woods where a man and pregnant woman were bound to a chair, and another man was beaten and tossed in the trunk of a vehicle.

A man called police around 2:30 a.m. yesterday, and said his brother and sister-in-law had been forcibly confined by three suspects in a home on 43 Street and 36A Avenue.

Shots were fired, but nobody was injured.

The 30-year-old man told police he was assaulted and thrown in the trunk of a car, described as a dark-blue 2010 Volkswagen Jetta.

He managed to escape the trunk a few blocks away, while the car was driving down the road.
He ran to a neighbour’s home and called for help.

The pregnant woman was taken to hospital as a precaution, and the 30-year-old victim was taken to hospital for treatment of injuries.

Police believe the trio were targeted, and that the incident was not random.

The vehicle’s licence plate reads ZGG 384, and visible dents mark the front and rear of the driver’s-side door.

Police say the suspects are armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information is urged to call police.
