Why go home to romance a Cup o Noodles when Tiger Mama is braving the weather with a Ramen Snowstorm Pop-up?
The Fenway restaurant’s Chef de Cuisine Matt Hummel and Sweet Cheeks Q Chef de Cuisine Dan Raia will be scooping out rich brothy bowls of Miso Pork Tonkatsu ramen with smoked five-spice lamb belly or char sui pork belly for $15 a pop. Each bowl features spicy garlic duck fat, a butter cube, roasted shiitake mushrooms and a five-minute egg. The options to add in the likes of preserved corn, brussels sprouts kimchi or grilled king oyster mushrooms are also available for a small fee.
Tiger Mama will also offer five small plates exclusive to the snow day; think: mushroom spring rolls with nuoc cham aioli and pimento cheese crab rangoon with sambal honey (omg). Order up because their full dinner menu will not be available tonight — and the ramen and snacks are only available until they’re totally sold out.
