T death a suicide

CAMBRIDGE – The man hit and killed by a Red Line train at the Central Square station Sunday lowered himself onto the tracks.

A T police report said the man lowered himself from the platform onto the tracks and into the path of the oncoming train, according to the Cambridge Chronicle.

A T spokesman said officials have not released the man’s name.
