Talking points

1. Once again, Lindsay Lohan didn’t spend very long in jail. The troubled actress was taken into custody Friday for her parole-violating positive drug test, but just before midnight she posted $300,000 bail and was released after the judge’s denial of bail order was reversed, according to People magazine. Lohan is free until her next hearing on Oct. 22, but she must once again wear an alcohol-monitoring anklet, and she also must stay out of any establishments where “alcohol is the chief item for sale.”

2.
Though Justin Bieber has been taking some of their spotlight away, the Jonas Brothers aren’t worried about the Canadian singer’s increasing popularity. “I think there is room for everybody,” eldest brother Kevin Jonas says, according to Exposay. “We’re not afraid of anything or worried about anything. We’re just being who we are and making music that we love. We’re proud of the guys that are following their dreams. As long as they’re doing it for the right reasons, we’ll totally support them.”

3. Zac Efron is glad to be rid of the shaggy haircut that made him famous during his “High School Musical” movies, but he admits getting a trim has had some unexpected consequences. “It used to keep getting in my eyes. It was a serious hazard,” Efron says, according to Hollyscoop. “Now when I’m working on a movie, it takes a lot less to look after it. There’s a couple of people we don’t have to hire just to keep my hair out of my face.”
