Teen arrested with gun at West Roxbury high school

A 15-year-old student was arrested this morning when he tried to enter his West Roxbury high school with a gun.

Police were called to the West Roxbury Education Complex about 8:45 a.m. for a student who was being detained.

The student, who was not identified, attempted to enter the building through an unauthorized entrance, police said.

School staff saw that, stopped him and were able to recover the loaded gun.

He was charged with illegal gun possession and will appear in juvenile court today.
