Atlanta Hawks forward Thabo Sefolosha has been in silence since he broke his leg while he was being arrested by the NYPD. The Hawks released a statement shortly after the incident but did not go into any explicit details about what happened.

Today, Sefolosha released a personal statement to his fans expressing his gratitude to friends and family and teammates. He goes on to express his disappointment in everything that happened and closes his statement with a powerful message: “I will simply say that I am in great pain, have experienced a significant injury and that the injury was caused by the police.”
