Here’s a celebrity secret: Now you can get the effects of doing 200 sit-ups without the, um, sit-ups. And lose inches while relaxing.
Two new spa treatments combine to tone your stomach and peel inches off your whole body. One is the Universal Contour Wrap, in which the body is wrapped with 25-30 warm, clay-dipped elasticized bandages to exfoliate and cleanse the skin. And the other is the Eurowave, which uses electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) to flex deep core muscles, simulating physical exercise.
The combination is apparently popular among celebrities who are already working out and eating well but want extra toning and tightening. One Eurowave treatment costs about $75, while 10 treatments are $499. Distributors say that while you will notice results after one treatment, it takes 10 to go down a size. One Universal Contour treatment costs $200 (and takes off six inches, say promoters), and three cost about $550.
The Eurowave and Contour Wrap are available at select spas across Canada.
