The Hub Crawl 2/27: LeBron’s turnover proves deadly for East

Celtics/NBA: The Western Conference was victorious in the annual NBA All-Star Game Sunday night in Orlando, 152-149.

Celtics guard Rajon Rondo had eight assists for the East while teammate Paul Pierce chipped in with three points.

Oklahoma City’s Kevin Durant had 36 points and earned the game’s Most Valuable Player Award.

Miami’s LeBron James also had 36 points but his late turnover for the East proved to be the difference.

Red Sox: Josh Beckett addressed manager Bobby Valentine’s decision to bar alcohol in the team clubhouse during the season.

“I don’t get paid to make those decisions,” said Beckett said in Fort Myers Sunday. “It doesn’t matter to me.”

Red Sox DH David Ortiz said earlier in the weekend,”We’re not here to drink. We’re here to play baseball. This ain’t no bar.”

NASCAR: The Daytona 500 was postponed Sunday due to rain and will now take place Monday at noon. It was the first time The Great American Race was postponed in its 54-year history.
