The Hub Crawl: Celts score huge win over Sixers, BC hockey parade

The Celtics now own a three-game lead in the Atlantic Division and, more importantly, have the edge in the race for the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference (all division winners get a top four seed regardless of record) after thumping the 76ers, 103-76, Sunday night at TD Garden.

Rajon Rondo had 15 assists with seven points while Kevin Garnett popped in 20. Avery Bradley, who once again got the start over Ray Allen, posted 18 points and five assists while Allen had 10 points off the bench.

The Celtics face the rival Heat Tuesday in Miami (7 p.m., ESPN).

BC hockey parade set for Tuesday

Boston College will celebrate its third men’s NCAA hockey national championship in five years Tuesday at the Chestnut Hill campus, according to BCinterruption.com.

The website stated that a championship parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. starting outside of Conte Forum, proceeding through campus, up Commonwealth Avenue and ending at O’Neill Plaza.

B’s playoff schedule

The Bruins will open Game 1 of their first round series against the Capitals Thursday at 7:30 p.m.. Game 2 is Saturday, Game 3 is April 16 and Game 4 is April 19.

Bubba’s Day

An emotional Bubba Watson had tears running down his face after he tapped home a winner on the 10th green at Augusta to win the 2012 Masters. Watson and Louis Oosthuizen had a two-hole playoff after both finished 10-under.
