Bruins forward Brad Marchand will speak with NHL disciplinarian Brendan Shanahan Monday, according to the Boston Globe. Marchand’s hit on Vancouver’s Sami Salo was ruled a game misconduct.
Colts owner Jim Irsay apparently targeted Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio as Indianapolis’ next general manager but Caserio turned Irsay down, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Caserio, who has been the Patriots player personnel head since 2008, would have taken the place of longtime Pats detractor Bill Polian had he accepted the position.
In other Colts news, several sources say that Irsay is prepared to draft Stanford’s Andrew Luck with the first pick overall in this spring’s NFL draft.
