When traditional poutine is getting boring, it’s time to give poutine pizza a try. At House of Georgie Sorento’s, you can order any pizza pie with gravy. And if pizza isn’t rich enough already, adding gravy makes it an over-the-top event.

We ordered the plain pepperoni pie, which was perfect. Its dough was soft yet chewy and baked to a golden hue. The tomato sauce was slightly tangy with hints of herbs. And the pepperoni was mildly spicy. After a drizzle of gravy, I tasted a rich bite of caloric perfection.

The cheese blend on the pizza was a good substitute for the curds and the pizza dough an excellent stand-in for the fries. I enjoyed one slice, forked another, and wished I hadn’t. A single slice of gravy ‘n’ pizza is a once a year kind of treat. Or a trending topic at 2:00 in the morning.
