Some 1,900 invitations have gone out for the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. Didn’t make the cut? Don’t worry, we didn’t either — and neither did Sarah Ferguson (according to Popeater) nor the Obamas (per The Daily Mail).
“Sarah is devastated that she hasn’t been invited,” a source says of the Duchess of York, who was caught recently trying to sell access to the royal family to a reporter. “Sarah was hoping that the wedding would provide her with the opportunity to spend quality time with the family and prove she can and does deserve to be part of the family,” the source says.
The Daily Mail reports the reason for the Obama snub was because of the added security costs involved with protecting the president.
If anything, Ferguson and the Obamas should be happy they weren’t invited — can you imagine the pressure of giving those two a wedding gift? It’s not like you just buy them a $100 frying pan off of their Crate and Barrel registry and be done with it.
