It was an eventful night during “The Voice” finale, full of guest appearances and group performances. The finalists brought back some of their closest friends and biggest voices of the season to perform with them for the last time. Kicking off the finale, OneRepublic performed their new hit single, “Love Runs Out.”

The finalists got to perform with some the biggest names in the music industry. Christina Grimmie performed with Ed Sheeran singing his new single, “Open Your Eyes and Sing.” Jake Worthington joined legendary country band Alabama singing their number one hit, “Mountain Music,” and Josh Kaufman joined former Voice advisor and R&B susperstar, Robin Thicke, singing “Get Her Back.”

Worthington brought back Kat Perkins, Kristen Merlin, Audra McLaughlin, Ryan Maloney and Morgan Wallen to perform Kenny Chesney’s “Summertime.” Then Justin Moore, the reigning country artist of the year, performed his new single, “Letting the Night Roll.”

For his bring-back performance, Kaufman asked TJ Wilkins, Stevie Jo and Sisaundra Lewis to join him in singing Nico and Vinz’s “Am I Wrong?” Stevie Jo almost missed his line in the performance but the rest of the track was on point.

This season’s most soulful male singers, Delvin Choice, Jake Barker, Morgan Wallen, Patrick Thomson and Stevie Jo came together to perform Hall and Oats’ “She’s Gone.” Since The Voice didn’t work out for these five, they can always fall back on forming a soulful boy band.

Later in the show, some of this season’s most powerful female vocalists, Dani Moz, Deja Hall, Madilyn Paige, Melissa Jimenez and Tess Boyer, took the stage singing Rhiana’s “Umbrella.” But in the battle of the sexes, the boys would have won this round with their performance.

Ed Sheeran returned to the stage with a high-energy performance of his new big hit, “Sing.” Grimmie brought back her best friends from the show Tess Boyer, Bria Kelly and Jake Barker to perform Lorde’s “Team.” Following Grimmie was Tim McGraw, who took the stage singing a new song from his upcoming album, “City Lights.”

Of course it wouldn’t be a Voice finale without the finalists winning brand new cars from Kia. Grimmie fell in love with the Kia Soul, Kaufman consulted his wife on getting the Sorento Crossover and Worthington got the Optimum Sedan for his grandmother.

Earlier this season, Chris Martin served as an advisor on “The Voice” and ColdPlay closed out the finale with their new hit single, “Sky Full of Stars.”

After a two-hour finale of The Voice, the results were in. The artist finishing out the season in third place was, shockingly, Christina Grimmie. But don’t feel too bad for her; Adam Levine already promised to sign Grimmie to his record label if she didn’t win.

The winner of The Voice, season 6 was Josh Kaufman with Team Usher, which left Jake Worthington as the runner-up. It was the first time in Voice history that a coach other than Adam or Blake took home “The Voice” trophy.
