Grief can do strange things to a person. Some of us cry; some of us go on homophobic rants against Daily Mail reporters.
Alec Baldwin fell into the second camp yesterday. After reporter George Stark pointed out that Baldwin’s wife Hilaria put up a tweet while the couple were at James Gandolfini’s funeral, he launched into a furious, profane tirade in her defense.
“Someone said my wife was tweeting during a funeral. Hey. That’s not true,” he wrote. “But I’m gonna tweet at your funeral.”
Later, he wrote, “George Stark, you lying little bitch, I am gonna f#%@ you up.” (That’s exactly how he wrote “f#%@.” Still trying to keep things PG-13, I guess.)
Baldwin continued in this vein for several more tweets, including “I’m gonna find you, George Stark, you toxic little queen, and I’m gonna f***…you…up,” (censorship ours this time) before apparently coming to his senses – his whole account has now been deleted.
Somewhere, Tina Fey woke up to the “Alec Baldwin” alert on her phone, rolled over with a happy sigh, and went back to sleep.
The NYPD Hate Crime Task Force investigated Alec Baldwin for a possible hate crime after he had a run-in with a New York Post photographer and allegedly used a racial slur, the New York Post reports.
Police met with the photographer and a Post reporter to discuss the incident.
Photographer G.N. Miller told police that Baldwin called him different names, including “coon,” “crackhead,” and “drug dealer.”
The actor also allegedly said to Post reporter Tara Palmieri, “I want you to choke to death,” which was caught on Palmieri’s tape recorder.
