Whoops! Before PETA named Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell its Sexiest Vegetarians, it should have checked Dax’s qualifications. He is a very handsome man, but he eats meat.
“I’m really flattered to be named “Sexiest Vegetarian” with @IMKristenBell, but sadly I can’t accept in good conscience because I eat chicken,” he tweeted sheepishly yesterday.
He added, “I was vegan for a year, but that ended 6 months ago. I aspire to be more like @IMKristenBell , but I’m not there yet.”
PETA quickly switched gears – while giving Dax some gentle prodding to get back on the tofu horse.”We’re delighted to recognize Kristen Bell as our Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity,” PETA said in a statement to E! Online. “We love Dax, and we’re glad to read that he’s aspiring to be more like Kristen. We are here to help with recipes and our vegetarian starter kit, and we’ll be sending the couple a delicious gift basket of Beyond Meat and Gardein veggie chicken products.”
The whole gang really is getting back together. Just days before the new “Veronica Mars” movie began shooting, it was announced that another former cast member has signed on: Francis Capra will reprise his role as Weevil Navarro, the motorcycle tough with a heart of gold.
“I couldn’t be happier that he’ll be back with us for the film,” director Rob Thomas said in an email to the production’s Kickstarter backers.
